I got up at at 5:30. Beijing was amazing at this early hour. The air was clear and flowers were in blossom. The rising sun’s color of gold merged with the sky blue along the horizon. The fragrance of clove along the road to Weigongcun station made me forget myself.
The subway was crowded, but fortunately I found a place for my baggage. A couple and their child were my neighbors. They talked about how mobile the population is in Beijing. Later at Xuanwumen Station, so many people wanted to get on that the subway door couldn’t close for a long time.
At the train station I was surprised by a beautiful breakfast at Yahui Kitchen. The steamed egg with shrimp and peas was so fresh and colorful that it lighted up my morning. The high speed rail is fantastic for big windows and a socket for my computer. I had plenty of room too. Now I can see the big plains of Northern China and some green woods. This is the best thing about travelling by train.
Hope that all of my friends and I will have a wonderful spring trip.
